Zion is absolutely gorgeous! Just getting into the canyon was an experience, like, the 1 mile tunnel through rock; then the winding mountain road down into the canyon. We first hiked a half mile up a rather steep path to Weeping Rock where water from the mountain seeps through the sandstone creating a rain shower on the rocks below.
Hike #2 was an easy 1 mile trek through the Temple of Sinawawa which runs beside the Virgin River and was the best hike ever. We saw a deer, beautiful foilage, a waterfall, squirrels scampering about and the fast moving water of the Virgin River. This may be our overall favorite canyon.
