Day 20 - Glen Canyon

Glen Canyon Dam

Glen Canyon

We hiked around the Glen Canyon area this afternoon.  The water in Lake Powell is as blue and beautiful as the sky; however, it is sad to see the water level so low - we estimate roughly 50 feet low.  It was about 80 degrees today so we also spent a lot of time driving around different viewing sites.  In doing so, we discovered that part of our campground is in AZ and the other part in UT.  I knew we were close to the border, but not that close.

The dry climate is taking its toll on our skin.  How dry is it?  It's so dry, I'm using a wooden pasta server as a back scratcher.  Even George is itching - and he never complains.

Put a meatloaf in the crock pot for dinner - first time I've tried that and it turned out very good.  My husband is craving his "meat and mashies".  Tomorrow, we're outta here and on to Bauer's Canyon Ranch RV Park in Glendale, UT.  We will camp there until Sunday and plan to visit Bryce and Zion National Park
