Day 2: From South Carolina to Pensylvania

As we were ready to leave this morning, the exterior steps started giving us trouble again (circa 2010).  George gave them a swift kick so now, the last one in the coach has to enter via the drivers side door.  Maybe one of these days we'll get the darn steps fixed once and for all.

We ran into stormy weather about 11:00...heavy rain and high winds.  A bit scary in a motorhome, however, George is a very safe driver and, fortunately, the storm only lasted about 20 minutes.  We pulled into a rest stop in VA to run the tow car and I fixed sandwiches for lunch.  We drove over a really cool bridge over the James River near Richmond, were through DC by 3:15 and in Gettysburg, PA by 5:00 where we pulled into the Artillery Ridge Campground and called it a day.

What am I knitting you ask?  A really cool white wrap to take on our December cruise.  See "Knitting Projects" for a glimpse.
