Day 1: On the road to Maine...

Left Stonecrest at 8:45AM this morning...not as early as we had hoped but had a lot of packing to do.  Got almost to Jacksonville before we had our first RV glitch....a red blinking light came on accompanied by a loud beeping noise.  Uh oh...probably not good news.  Turns out the rear levelers dropped down some as we were driving down the road.  We pulled off at a convenience store and George, bless his heart, had to get under the rig to get the levelers un-stuck.  Meanwhile, I'm patiently waiting in the coach keeping fingers crossed that he can fix the problem....which he did.  Yeah George!

Listened to "Dark Light", a book on tape by Randy Wayne White and it  was smooth sailing all the way to South of The Border, SC which is - are you ready for this - right "on the border" of SC and NC.  If you've ever driven on I-95 in this part of the world, you've no doubt seen the tacky signs.  In spite of that, they have a nice campground and Mexican restaurant...what else could we ask for!

After dinner and a good housecleaning, it's early to bed so we can get an early start tomorrow.
