Day 30: Yosemite Valley

Yosemite National Park

Foot of Bridalveil Falls

Bridalveil Falls

Today we drove into Yosemite Valley and took a short hike to get an up-close-and-personal view of Bridalveil Falls.  Also got a little spray off the falls but it is a truly beautiful site to behold.

Once in the Valley, we parked the car and took the bus tour which has 21 stops.  You can get on and off anywhere, anytime.  We stopped and walked through the Ahwahanee Hotel which is very majestic.

Spring is everywhere as evidenced by the Dogwood Trees and a vibrant red flower called Snow Plant.

Today we saw Raven and a very hungry coyote hanging out on the side of the road begging for food...he looked so pitiful, so thin and so hungry but George would not let me feed him (and for good reason).  We also saw, yes Muriel, we saw "a bar in the bushes".  And a big one too!

Yosemite Falls is by far the most spectacular waterfall of this national park and we took a hike up to the base of the falls...got another little spray of water but quite an experience to get this close to an enormous waterfall.  I do not have the words to really describe this place so I will close here and hope some of you - no all of you - have an opportunity to experience our National Parks.
