On our July 2016 trip to the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, I knitted a new Allure Scarf.

My first Swancho, a cross between a Sweater and a Poncho. Finally finished it while driving through Kansas on our August 2015 trip out West. Not sure I'm up for another one...it was hard!

Pink Hat

I knitted a hat which George thinks looks stupid on me so I'm giving it to Pauline. That's not a slam to Pauline....I just think it's all her. It's a pale pink lightly varigated wool and should keep her cute little punkin' head warm up there in Philly.

Mark, don't feel left out....I'm knitting you a blue one.

Wine Cozies

I'm also into knitting Wine Cozies. I made several at Christmas time to give as hostess gifts during the holidays, Trader Joe's wine included of course. They were well received so I'm stocking up for next year, or, I might sell them at the annual Craft Fair back home.

Coffee Cup Cozies

I knitted these 4 Coffee Cup Cozies from leftover pieces of yarn on the trip from Albuquerque to Oklahoma City. They are fun to knit and you can add your own embellishments/buttons on them. I just happened to have some little Christmas Tree buttons to put on these.

2011 Craft Fair

There I am at our neighborhood Craft Fair. I sold 4 magic loop scarfs and took orders for 9 more. Also sold a few wine cozies and tasks cloths. All in all, I did pretty well for my first time. Shealia had the table to my left and did pretty well with her aprons, purses and flowers. Adrianne was to my right and did very well selling her glass blocks with Christmas lights inside. I met several new "crafty" ladies and we had a blast!

4/15/13: Knitted Mr. Goldfish for Isa and Anna....they love him!

Pink Purse

5/5/13: This is the "Pink Purse" I knitted today on the drive from Tucson to Palm Springs. It's a very easy pattern and will be lots of fun to carry!

White Wrap

9/3/13: Finished this wrap today on our trip to Maine. Been working on it off and on for a bout a week. Very easy and lots of fun! I plan to take it on our December Christmas Cruise with Mark and Pauline.

9/25/13: Bought this yarn at Bee's Yarns in Bar Harbor, Maine and made this Cowl while on our Fall 2013 trip through New England and beyond. I still need to block it when we get home...

9/25/13: Working on this scarf that I call the Kaleidoscope Scarf since I got the pattern and yarn at Kaleidoscope Yarn in Essex Junction, VT. Beautiful natural earthy colors. I think I'm going to give it to my nephew's wife Karen She was such a wonderful hostess on our recent dinner at their house in Charlotte, VT...hmmm.

Kitten UpDate...

9/25/13: Isa has somehow found a way to hide inside a small compartment, about the size of a drawer, in the kitchen slide. We can't figure out how she's doing it but she's done it twice now causing great panic to mommy and daddy. Little stinker!

9/3/13: The kittens are 8 months old now and this is their second trip in the motorhome, although, I'm sure they don't remember their first one as they were a mere 10 weeks old! One of them got motion sickness when we first got on the road but they seem to have found their "sea legs". They are much calmer now, sleep a lot and are not climbing the walls.

5/23/13: Isa is over her upper respiratory infection (cold) and both are doing well. They have had their 3rd booster shot and are ripping through the motorhome like they own the place. They are also still hiding inside the dashboard which brings great worry to George as his worst fears may be realized. He woke up to find some pieces of plastic wire holders in the floor - uh oh. Hope the motorhome will start tomorrow.

5/13/13: Anna got sick during the night...hoping it is just motion sickness from the bumpy ride up here...keeping an eye on her.

5/8/13: The kittens were soooo cute today...Anna takes great pride in cleaning Isa but has a hard time keeping her still. Later on, Isa returned the favor but Anna just laid back and enjoyed the ride!

5/7/13: Still haven't figured out Plan B. George is sleeping ok without the machine but I'm totally sleep deprived...darned cats!

5/6/13: Stopped at PetSmart for kiddie kat supplies and George bought a spray bottle of some sort of kiddie retardant that is supposed to keep the girls from hiding out in the dashboard. It doesn't work.

5/3/13: The girls have now advanced to the stage were they can jump onto the kitchen counter. Not good. Glad I brought the water gun. It seems to be working - at least while we are here. When we're off being a tourist...who knows.

4/24/13: Following their visit to the vet, Anna now outweighs Isa! Anna checked in at 2.8 lbs with Isa at 2.6 lbs. They were both 2.2 lbs when we got them.

4/21/13: Today Isa and Anna have reversed roles and Isa has become the mischevious one!

4/21/13: Poor George can't sleep at night because the kittens want to play with the hose on his breathing machine. Gonna have to figure out Plan B.

4/16/13: We can't believe how much the kittens have grown in a week (11 wks old now). Isa is getting fatter and Anna is trying to keep up; conversely, Anna is still the feistier one with Isa trying to keep up....a typical sibling rivelry. Isa follows me everywhere just like a puppy and she tends to want to sleep next to me at night. Anna is too busy exploring to attach herself to one person. Yesterday, she disappeared in the dashboard which gave George cause for concern but she managed to find her way out....little stinker. Thought you had plugged all the holes didn't you!

4/22/15: Norman and wife Barbara from Deaton Creek. Confusing license plates...Motorhome license plate is from MD; license plate on car is FL and they live in GA.

4/24/15: The boys from the Poconos who were hereon a fishing trip here in Grassy Key. They finally caught some Mahi Mahi...kind of an expensive fishing expedition.

5/13/13: Sally Manfredi, owner/potter at Calistoga Pottery. Sally gave me some "tourist tips" about the area.

5/7/13: The lady on the phone at TWIGS who took my floral order for Rosalie Iler's funeral. After talking with her, I felt like I had a new best friend!

5/2/13: Lynn, owner of Kiwi Knitting in Tucson. Very nice lady and proprieter of a very nice knitting shop. She became a grandma yesterday - CONGRATS LYNN!

4/24/13: Marcia, the office manager at American RV in El Paso, TX. Originally from MN and converted desert rat.
